Abstract

This study is attempted to analyze the semiotic process, and the massage implied on Nikon Camera D3000 and D5000 Advertisements. The semiotic approach was used to identify and analyze the data which focusses on representamen, object, and interpretant by using Triadic Concept of Charles Sanders Pierce’s Theory. This study employed descriptive qualitative because the writer collected the data in the form of written words which produces descriptive information. Based on the result found, there are five selected advertisements of Nikon Camera D3000 and D5000. Those advertisements have hidden messages which make the viewers or customers unable to catch the messages appropriately, from the result analysis, it can be affirmed that all aspect in the advertisements have the same message to persuade the readers to buy the product even though the signs in each advertisement are different.
