Abstract

Messages have a variety of forms, both oral and written. The lyrics of the song have a form of text in the form of words and sentences that can be used to create a certain atmosphere and imagination to the audience so that imagination can also create diverse meanings. In its function as a medium of communication, the song is also often used as a means to invite sympathy about the realities that are happening as well as on imaginative stories. The aim of this study is to analyze imageryin five Sia Kate Isobelle furle’s Song Lyrics. The writer used lyricThe Bully, Elastic Heart, Chandelier, Cheap Thrill and One Million Bullets as the data collection. The method used on this study is qualitative approach by describing and analyzing the meaning from Sia song lyric. The result of this study, the writer found there are five types of imagery in the Sia lyrics; organic imagery, kinesthetic imagery, visual imagery, tactile imagery and gustatory imagery.
